Accepting Oneself

It is a strange phenomenon how difficult people find it to love themsleves. One would it is the easiest thing in the world, because we are constantly concerned with ourselves. We are always interested in how much we can get, how well we can perform, how comfortable we can be. So with all that, why it is so difficult to actually love oneself?
